The Pact for Skills in Tourism: TOURing’s Role

TOURing is proud to support the Pact for Skills in Tourism by contributing to skills development across Europe and building the capacity of micro and small enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector. By focusing on digital and green competences, the project directly addresses the three key services of the Pact for Skills:

Knowledge Hub

  • Self-Assessment Toolkit: a resource to help SMEs identify skill gaps. Explore it here.
  • Digital Toolkit: over 20 tools tailored to the needs of tourism micro and SMEs. Learn more.
  • Competence-Based Curricula: training programmes for SME employees in digital and green skills, available via an e-learning platform.
  • Microcredentials and Skills Validation: a platform offering skills validation mechanisms for the project’s courses. Access it here.

Guidance and Resources Hub

  • Funding Toolkit: comprehensive information on EU funding instruments. Explore the toolkit.
  • Capacity-Building Activities: pilot delivery of tools and activities tailored to tourism micro and SMEs.

Networking Hub

  • Stakeholder Network: creation of a database of 2,000 stakeholders, alongside meetings and roundtables to enhance and endorse the Pact for Skills in the tourism sector.

The project’s final conference in December 2024 further aligned with the Pact for Skills, focusing on upskilling and reskilling in the hospitality industry in the context of the twin transitions to green and digital practices.
